Kaje Living Terms of Service

Welcome to Kaje Living. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website kajeliving.com and any related services provided by Kaje Living Inc. (“Kaje Living,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By using our website, purchasing a product, or consigning an item with us, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Kaje Living

Kaje Living is a luxury resale and consignment company based in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We sell authentic, pre-owned designer fashion and accessories on behalf of individual consignors.

2. Online Store Terms

By using our site or purchasing something from us, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province, state, or territory.
You agree not to use our products for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

3. Consignment Sales

All items listed on Kaje Living are sold on behalf of individual consignors.
Each piece is unique, pre-owned, and sold as is.

If you are purchasing an item:

  • All sales are final — no returns, exchanges, or cancellations.

  • We are happy to provide extra photos, measurements, or details before you buy.

  • Prices are determined by brand, condition, and market demand.

4. Consignment Agreement (for Sellers)

If you consign items with Kaje Living, you agree to the following:

Seasonal Listing

  • Spring/Summer: February–July

  • Fall/Winter: August–December

Pricing & Commissions

  • You receive 50% of the final sale price for items under $1,000.

  • You receive 70-80% for items sold over $1,000.

  • Items may be discounted or placed on sale during the season.

Service Fees

  • Authentication: $30–$75 depending on brand

  • Appraisal: $95 per item

  • Additional fees may apply for cleaning, repairs, or third-party services.

  • Fees may change without notice.

Unsold Items & Returns

  • We have limited storage space and cannot hold items indefinitely.

  • Unsold items after 90 days must be picked up.

  • We’ll contact you to arrange pickup from Kaje Living HQ.

  • Items not collected within 7 days of notice will be donated to a local charity, such as Dress for Success.

Donations

  • Unsold items priced under $100 may be automatically donated.

  • To retrieve items appraised over $100, please arrange this in advance.

Payouts

  • Available monthly for balances over $50.

  • Options: EFT, e-transfer, or in-store credit.

Liability

  • Kaje Living is not responsible for damage, loss, or theft of items.

  • You confirm you legally own all items and guarantee authenticity.

  • Non-authentic items are subject to a $100 fee and may be destroyed if not collected within two weeks.

Full consignment terms are available upon request.

5. Payments

We accept payments via Shopify Payments, including major credit cards and Shop Pay.

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
Sales tax (GST/HST or applicable provincial tax) is charged on Canadian orders.
U.S. customers may see sales tax calculated automatically at checkout.

6. Shipping

We currently ship to Canada and the United States only.

  • Flat rate within Canada: $30 CAD

  • Flat rate to the U.S.: $50 CAD
    We typically ship using Canada Post but may use other carriers as needed.
    Shipping times vary by location, and delays due to customs or carrier issues are beyond our control. Additional duties or shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. 

7. Authenticity

Kaje Living only lists items verified as authentic.
If you have proof of purchase or brand receipts, no authentication fee applies.
Items found to be counterfeit are permanently removed and not returned to sellers.

8. Accuracy of Product Information

We make every effort to describe and photograph items accurately.
However, color and condition may vary slightly depending on lighting and display settings.
We are not liable for minor discrepancies in descriptions or photos.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on kajeliving.com—including text, photos, logos, and designs—is owned by Kaje Living and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.

10. Privacy & Cookies

Your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using our site, you agree to our collection and use of data, including cookies used for functionality and marketing.

11. Limitation of Liability

Kaje Living is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our site, products, or services.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product in question.

12. Dispute Resolution

We value our customers and consignors.
If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first at kajeliving@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue before any formal action.
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of our website means you accept the changes.
